Got the parts and in the midst of installing an improved sound system but not so sure where to mount the AMP now. I want it out of the way and I thought about mounting it in the left rear box but that box is practical so if I can place it elsewhere that would be better. I was alternatively thinking to mount it in the spare tyre compartment, as that is largely unused. My concern here is whether it needs to be more firmly bolted in and that there might be too much vibration in that soft plastic/felt tray? Did a websearch and saw that someone somewhere mounted an amp about 2/3rd the size of mine in that exact area. Any thoughts on whether it would be a bad idea to place it there? Any alternative ideas?

also, need to run wires to the underseat subs, and found out how to easily rip out the backseat bottom. wondering whether there's an easy way to run wires through the 2 holes marked here by the yellow arrows?

You will have to put wires in both sides of the car (under doors). From this this wholes under rear seat and to the rear doors.
Place for amp is nice as you don't have spare wheel (I do have). But I suggest you to check carefully all power wires there are and you should install it so to avoid any movement.
