Air Suspension Not Raising
I'm reposting this because it seems to have got lost in the ether, so sorry if I've screwed up again...
Last week the driver side air suspension deflated (08 model), with "level control failure" showing. The compressor was removed and works ok but the screw at the blue airline was found to have a broken o-ring, which has been replaced. However, the suspension will not raise. The fuses are fine but the green relay, which was tested does not activate. All fault codes have been cleared, and there are no dashboard lights. I can't find a way to reset the suspension. Any help appreciated, I'm at a loss.

I apologize. I went and deleted the duplicate and it seems it deleted both of your posts.
Normally you would reset it with INPA or ISTA. I don't know if removing the negative terminal for 5-10 mins and connecting it back will reset the system. Are you sure the relay is in working condition?

Thanks. The battery was disconnected while the compressor was out being checked. The relay was tested and seemed fine. None of the three relays. - two orange and the green - are responding to the car, ie not clicking, and consequently there is no power to the compressor. (The polarity of bmw relay pins are non standard it was discovered). I'm not familiar with ISTA or INPA but will check them out.

A guy from 50 yards up the road used to have BMWs and still had the software. He got the suspension fired up; it transpires that the compressor brushes are worn. A second hand compressor is in the post.

The beauty of having the right tools to do the job. Glad you got it figured out. Hopefully the replacement is in good condition.
