SO I got around to installing the intake finally and let me tell you.. It makes a big differnce...

Here are some pictures of the finished product.

Do you notice the engine being louder or more powerful? I'm not sure about the I6, but I heard the V8's lost power with the aFe short CAI. I was initial leaning towards installing a CAI for my 550i since I had one in my Infiniti FX35. Sounded great, but really couldn't tell if I got more power. Instead,I read up and followed the many suggestions to go with the RPI scoop, K&N filter and removed my charcoal filter instead; couldn't be happier. Also the RPI exhaust is music to my ears and I do notice the power increase for all the mods I did.

Its basic tuning and engine mechanics. It doesnt matter how much information is out there, these companies will continue to sell their products simply because there are always people out there that will buy them. Turbonator and products similar continue to sell too.

Can you provide a step-by-step install walk-through?
I'd be curious to see a before and after dyno #s.
