Just come back from a 600 mile round trip to Paris. The 535d did 450 miles before the reserve light came on. The average speed for the trip was just over 70 miles per hour, which is not bad considering that includes sitting in traffic around Paris and some roadworks etc. Average fuel consumption was 42.1mpg.

The car is simply awesome when it comes to speed and fuel economy!!

That's amazingly good.
Just completed a 500 mile weekend in my new 530D.
Got 37.1mpg on the computer, which turned out to be 35mpg when I brimmed the tank and hand-calculated the mpg.
I'm pretty impressed.

That's very nice!

We just got home from a 470 miles trip this weekend, with a aveage speed of: 76 miles per hour, and got 45 MPG on the Journey computer!! We drove all weekend with the five people, and a lot of luggage! Speed was between 0-200 km/h (0-125mph)..

I need to clean the car tonight - it's full of bugs!

You have got some SERIOUS self restraint.

I know I can get 45 mpg out of my 530d - but I never do cause I always get bored and start ragging it.

If I had another turbo I'd be even more tempted.

Well done though

You must have been going some, cause the trip down to Paris registered and average speed of 92mph and I was getting just over 40 mpg.

Had a few problems with the Tyre Pressure Monitor though, every time I slowed down it registered a puncture which didn't exist!!

Anyway I was very impressed with the fuel economy!!
