I was taken aback when I first saw the 172M on a 550i E60, Carbon black. And I thought, WOW must have on my E61.
... but after seeing two E61:s with those 19" I'm not so sure anymore. Somehow it fits perfectly to the E60 but it doesn't do the trick for me on the E61.
Am I the only one? Should I see medical help?!?

My Ride: E61 535d sport, Silver Grey/grey/maple.
20" Hartge Nova 7. Previously 19" staggered 172s
The 166 doesn't have enough spokes for my taste.

Two questoins coming up: 1) who did you fit the wheels in the rear? As my dealer says they don't fit in the rear I would like ot know how you overcame that hurdle 2) How's the ride? Is road noise an issue?

...and one more thing - you're car is exactly as I wanted mine; Silver Grey with 172M's... such a stunningly beautiful car. Makes me happy everytime I see one But, of course BMW had to delete that colour on the LCI.

How to fit the rear wheels: Remove nuts and old wheel, put on new 172 wheel and re-fit nuts.
Honestly, the 9.5" rears just bolt on with NOTHING else to do. Dealers should check before they speak, I had big problems myself finding the information.
The only issue is tyre rating. Your new load capacity will be according to the tyres you have (mine are BMW supplied Contis).
Ride is BETTER than standard runflats, road noise is no worse than standard, and possibly a bit better.

Excellent news! I'll quote you as an "expert witness" when I continue this somewhat protracted business of getting the right wheels on my car-to-be.
