Full of WIN. You will have good knowledge about what you are getting into!
And Georgieb, I have to say, I appreciate your helpful posts man! I hope I can find time/$$$ to tackle the CIC retrofit!

The CIC retrofit and subsequent Combox upgrade rates right up there with my 3-Stage Manifold and ECU re-map this year. Two of the best things I ever did to my E60....

I tried and the iDrive doesn't work. It doesn't light up.
When I connect, I hear a noise in the dashboard ...?
I Have 04 '530D with CCC (I think), gps business.
The car has never had a special program, always in BMW garage for maintenance.
The old second connector (MENU) isn't use ?

If your GPS is business then you dont have ccc but the older mask and in that case the controller wont work.

I had the mask, now I did the Retrofit CCC (ZBE -> low).
CCC_APP.C0C
I plugged the new controller, it lights up but the shortcut keys don't work.
I need to code "ZBE-> low_with_slopes", so that the shortcut keys work?
How to know the software version?

Hi
If you now got the CCC navigation ( Navigation Professional ):
Yes you would have to code the ZBE to "low-with-slopes" with NCS-Expert
The CGATE have to be updated with WinKFP to the software stand ending on xxxx636 ( instead of xxxx627 )
Good luck
Regards
