I just installed an original E39/E46 camera on my car with an aftermarket module (currently installed for my dvd changer)... the problem now is that everytime after engine ignition, when engaged to reverse, the view on the screen keeps blinking and sometimes it blanks the screen :thumbsdown: ...the weird part is when i switch off the engine an engage to reverse, everything is fine...i've tried by pulling out the battery hoping that it would be "rebooted", but as a result, it seems that the same problem still occurs. Anybody out there that has experience in installing a reverse camera, please help me!

You did not specify how you back-up cam triggering wire. Chances are you connected it to positive reverse light wire which has fluctuating voltage. This trigger your aftermarket unit switching back and forth from back-up cam and idrive screen...
To solve the problem, use relay. For more help, please contact your aftermarket seller who should provide you support

Yes...I did wire it up on the reverse light wiring...but what do you mean by relay? i tapped on the reverse light wiring...how do i resolve this problem? Any body that has experience, help me resolve this problem...

Use automotive relay.

Connect + and - terminal of reverse light to terminal 85 and 86 respectively.
Connect terminal 87 to cigarette lighter hot wire.
Connect terminal 30 to back-up cam triggering wire.

got same problem,, screen is blinking... bought relay today at Napa and installed the way MY530 show in the post, still doesn't work, could you help me with this issue , explain please one more time, thanks
