Those that have done the interior trim wrap, either yourself or paid someone, which material would you recommend and why? I'm planning on doing this mod to my interior trim and have come across the 3M di noc carbon wrap, both in vinyl and cloth, so I wanted to get your opinion on it. I'm looking for durability, and something that won't start peeling back while parked in the sun. I know the vinyl is self ad-adhesive, while the cloth has to be use with spray glue. Also the vinyl seems thinner compare to the cloth so it'll sit more flush.

 

3M vinyl. Easy to work with, stretches and self adhesive.

Brushed steel. May wrap it a darker color later this year. Looks too much like brushed aluminum.

 

I used the same 3M vinyl and it was very easy to work with and looks great so far.

 

That looks really good DK, where did u get the vinyl from?

 

I used cloth. It was still quite stretchable upon application. It's still holding up well.

 

I would love to know this as well.

And while on the subject.... about how much is needed to cover all the interior trim?

I used 3m dinoc and really liked it. You have to know the orientation of the roll and plan accordingly so the fiber goes in the direction you want on the various parts. Otherwise thr fiber pattern won't align properly. I found using graph paper helped with this and prevent excessive waste and or coming up short.
