My Ride: 2004 BMW 530i E60 3.0 I6 225hp 220torgue with custom grill and custom cold air intake.
I Have a 2004 530i E60 3.0 6speed manual.
ESS is coming out with a twin supercharger with a schedule release date of 15 Nov. This is suppose to be the best thing out there for a supercharger.
Also it is a DIY kit.
Basically it will out perform any supercharger within it stages.
Stage 1 6.5psi
Stage 2 8.0psi
Stage 2+ 8.5psi
Stage 3 9.5 psi
Stage 4 TBD
If you look them up at www. esstuning.com you will not see the package for your car.
You will need to go to this site to get info; http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=404585
They have release most of their product for 3series BMW but if you drive a E60 5 series with a 3.0 motor they should be release product on your car.
The kits are fairly cheap if you can buy in the initial stages, after the promotion period I am sure the price will rise.
Anywho VF-engineers also plan to release their kit on the same date. Both kits have the same hp but the difference is ESS performance band does not reach full boost at max rpm. You have full boost from the time you stump the pedal til you reach redline.
Just information that i have personally research and may not be accurate as far as the specific psi levels, this is why i provide the link to o your own research.

Nice to here about this, I wish I can install it and use it in HK but NO CAN DO no road to use it
IMO any of the S/C kits from Technik, ESS, AA are reliable. If you have some spare cash lying around, by all means go for it!

Are you sure? 200km/h is within easy reach on many roads there. Tuen Mun highway heading out just past Tsuen Wan exit for one example. Don't ask me how I know

this road I know it well and you can not do more than 100km, that is not a good road to go on.
Tai Mo Shan is a better road just like the 1 in Japan for Initial D. or
Sai Kung coming out, at night there are alot of street racer go pass my house every Saturday.

People the beauty of the ESS kit is that it was made for driving around town.
Unlike the centerforged type kits where you reach full boost at redline this thing will give you instant performance to play with from light to light. So you want run out of road before you feel its full potential.
I like my ride and it is really nice but after a while it gets boring and this is why i am looking for a little extra power. You guys are adding bolt on like exhaust, gears, headers, cams, and maybe even a cold air package or something of such. by the time to do a remap/software upgrade you have paid for F/I.
Also since the ESS kit has hit the market everyone has put their S/C on sale. Go check out Technik, AA, ASA, and the rest of them. So if ESS is not your cup of tea there is plenty of kits on sale.
You may have to contact them via phone because most of their ads on the web only have apps for those 3 series.
Anywho this is just a little info for the people whom want more power.
