My Ride: 2009 530i E60 LCI
Default Bimmer-Tech or BimmerRetrofit or any other

Hi All,

I am not sure if this is the correct way to choose the service provider however as a customer at the other end of the Earth (Australia) I am trying to find right source to buy CIC retrofit for my E60 LCI which has CCC unit at the moment.

I have seen a lot of forum topics about CIC retrofit with combox, ConnectedDrive and Rear View Camera installations. I really want to get it done. However, having multiple suppliers on the market makes my job a bit hard as I don't know which one to go with.

Now, I am asking people those who already dealt with these suppliers: which one you guys would suggest and why?

I am after:

Parts quality (as head unit and screen will be provided as used)
Safe payment options (PayPal or no go)
Cheaper
Good installation support for self installers
Good after sale support
(Add anything I missed)

Thanks in advance.

I did a sirius sat install two months ago ans the guys at Bimmer-Tech were awesome. They helped me find the right module and then they updated my ECU in like 25 minutes. It was great. I am over in Connecticut and I think they are in Poland.

I did a CIC retrofit with Bimmer Retrofit a while back on my E71. It was a great experience.
I originally bought CIC kit on eBay, and ran into huge problems with installation. I was told that my system is activated using FSC code, but as it tuned out, it was activated using some "software-hack method", it had really old software and did not work properly, my camera and PDC did not work, Bluetooth did not work, it was awful.

Bimmer Retrofit answered all my question by email, explained how they can fix the retrofit and make it work in my vehicle. Since they are located just 600km away, I actually drove to their location and they fixed everything - I just dropped off the vehicle at their place for the day. I also ordered Combox from them and BMW Apps. Everything is working great still, and it's been almost 2 years now!

Now, I am considering doing the NBT retrofit in my E60, and for sure, there is no one else that I am even considering. Maybe, they are not the cheapest, but they are definitely the BEST!
