I bought an aftermarket 8000K HID H7 kit from www.plasmagarage.com -- do not buy or install this or any other H7 HID kit. the harness is rated at 12 amps but as soon as you turn it on, the ECU pulls a lower current draw which causes the ballast to flicker and shut off. replacing the fuses to a larger one and adding a BOSCH 30-amp relay is a typical solution but not on the new 5-series because of the iDRIVE and on-board ECU. BMW techs can't figure it out and it voids your warranty. bottomline: don't do it.

stock HID is 4000k-5000K -- i went with a 8000K and the shiet was hellah bright but then it doesn't stay on

The pictures you post are always extremely and impressively relevant.

I would, however, like to point out to you that this picture may even be a little more relevant than that of the Audi you previously posted (ha ha).

hi there. all my bulbs (city, fog, etc.) have all been changed to XENON/HID H7 bulbs. those are directly factory swaps.

i thought all the N/A cars comes with bixenon standard? or i might be wrong...
but i'd rather get the xenon as a factory option than those aftermarket knockoff

ones in canada are factory OEM standard.
from experience , aftermarket HID kits might have great specs but poor life. the worst are inconsistencies which will create an imbalance between left and right, or one side will go out sooner etc. creating the 'pirate' look.
the factory xenons on my last e46 performs flawlessly and efficiently, cant live without them now.
