Just wondering if 18" wheels for an E60 would clear the brakes on the M5 and also are the offsets the same (or close)?

Yes, some 18" wheels will fit, but not many. I tried at least 6 different 18" rims ( for wintres ) that didn?t fit over the brakes in front. BMW has one wheel that is the std setup for wintertires on the M5 in 18".

The offsets for the M5 are ET12 front and ET28 rear.
