So I'm going to have to add one to the M5. I was thinking about trying this mounting system.

I was concerned about making the switch from Steptronic to SMG because you read so much about how the M5 SMG is jerky and tempermental. Bunk. I find it completely serviceable even in the D mode (automatic), and in manual mode ... 
. This is way too much fun. Those blips on downshifts are aural sex.It's really simple - just drive it like the manual transmission that it is, and you will not have any problems.

Nice upgrade! Hearing the signature V10 wail more than compensates for it's excessive lack of fuel economy. After 13 months with my 08 M5, it's been trouble-free from the start. Congrats!
