Why did I wait so long

I picked up an M5 yesterday! I found this stunning 2006 M5 Sapphire Black / Portland Brown with barley 16,000 miles on it and I jumped on it. The car was in Boston so I flew there from Chicago and drove it home -1,000 miles of M fun. 
The car is in perfect condition - I could not have found a better example. And it is configured exactly the way I would have ordered one new. It's got full leather, HUD, SMG, SAT, and essentially every option you could order with this color combo (no cooled seats).
Why did I wait so long? The M5 is just incredible ... and I came to it from a 550i, which I figured was at a pretty good level already. I'm not sure how to describe it, but everything about the M5 is just so much sharper than the 550i. While the 550i is effortless, the M5 is engaging. I just ran it 1,000 miles over two days and it isn't even breathing hard. The 550i would be clinking and clacking and sweating after than run. The M5 didn't even need a Gatorade or anything ... it just wants to go out and run some more.
What a machine. Here it is.
And at home (next to the 550i ... which is being shipped out tomorrow)

What are you going to do about the front license plate? Illinois requires them. Are you going to take your chances and hope not to get pulled over, or will you ruin the bumper and the overall looks and put the plate in?
