I've been lurking on this forum for a few months now since purchasing a 530i and have been reading some wonderful advice.
However my first post will be one which holds some very sad news.

My brother's house got burgled last night while he was asleep and they drove off with his M5.
I would be very grateful if everyone can keep an eye out for a BLACK E60 M5 with the license plate M2 PJG and report any sighting to the police. My brother lives in west london but it's hard to say where the car has made its way to.

Many thanks.

Nick

Thanks guys

Good news is that the car has been found - the tracker system located it to be near Heathrow and the police just found it - yet to check out the damage but we heard that there's some damage to the bodywork.

Cant believe the crime is getting so bad either....our area is normally quite safe. The police said it seemed the scumbags broke into the house just for the keys to the M5 as they really didnt take anything else - i think the burglars was just overwhelmed by the excitement that he had keys to a 500bhp monster that he forgot to take anything else

I always stash my keys before going to bed!!!!

A friend of mine had his brand new Celica Turbo nicked off his drive after they fished his car keys from the table in his hall way.....through the letter box!!!!!

Terrible news. Glad they recovered it, but personally, I'd rather they never found it. Don't think I'd want it back after being ravaged by the scum of the earth.

This is only the second time I've ever heard of an M5 being stolen. Countermeasures are pretty good on these cars. Only other time is the thief likely had a illicit copy of the key. How did they just 'drive off' with your brother's car???

Glad they have recovered it, exactly the same thing happened to me earlier this year. Yes, they did it while we were asleep. Unfortunatley I've heard nothing about it since. According to the DVLA I have to wait 12 months if I want to re use my personal number plate again. These criminals are scums!

I think this is the first stolen E60 I've heard of since I joined this forum. That blows! Hopefully it wasn't damaged too much. Why can't thieves be a bit more respectful of the cars they steal! They always manage to bash them up.
