180.000 dollars is roughly 140.000 euro's. A new one ordered now at my dealer starts at 129.500 euros with some little options you are in the 140.000 euros league. The netherlands are so unfair if you buy a car.. aaaarrrghhh

well, you might want to double your total since $180k is about double the msrp in the states .

My dealer has 25 orders and has been told they will get four cars next year
25 orders and 4 cars per year. Doesn't that mean 6 years waiting if you order now.

If I remember correctly, the dealer told me they were limited to 7 or 8 cars per year.

I don't know if each dealer gets a different allocation. If not, then I guess you need to find a dealer with a small order book.

My dealer told me three weeks ago that's what they have been allocated, they're a London based dealer who sell a lot of high end cars (they have five Z8's in stock!) so I doubt they are getting a bad allocation. If everyone took their cars it will obviously be a six year wait but we all know that people get bored and buy other cars rather than wait even 18 months.

Well, I'm not feeling so bad about having to wait a few months to get my M5. I should get delivery late this year for MSRP of around $85,000 base.

No word yet from the US dealers on allocations. I'm number one at my dealer, but they are fairly small, so allocations will be minimal. The other dealer in town is one of the biggest in the US. I'll try to find out what their allocations will be when they know.

Yes I am serious... it's HELL... it is because of the taxes we got here in denmark... if you earn a good amount of money you have to pay 68% in tax every month... after that comes the tax on cars... and the example about the M5 says it all... Most people in Denmark drives small economic cars simply because thay can't afford any more.. there is 80.000 thousand people living in my city.. I think there is around 4-6 E60 in the city... that's it.... if you go to sweden or Germany the prices for cars are around the same as in US....

Wovlerine,
Did your dealer bless the $85K number (please say yes, please say yes)?
Also and completely unrelated, is your moniker homage to U of M? I ask as Cinci is close...not that that really means anything I suppose...

I agree that a lot of people on the list will not take delivery. I've ordered mine, just to be on the list, but i'm still undecided between an M5, M6, 645Ci (650Ci?)or a 535d..
They are going to let me drive their demonstrator M5 though, next month I think.

I'd take the M6. Actually thought about it, but I'm buying a penthouse instead...
