Yeah thats what the dealer said to me, that id used " chemical cleaner or cleaner that deteriorates the wheel finish", which is complete BULLSHIT because i've never used cleaners on my wheels. I always hand wash them..

I hope they refinish them at least!

steering wheel trim here too. Will have it replaced at next service, it really doesn't bother me. At first I thought it was glue and would just clean off but it's peeling.

My steering wheel peeled after a year and they replaced it. I have the same problem with my side pillars. Whats the best way to clean them? I dont want plastic pieces.

Me niether.. it looks so much better to have the pillar pieces the same color!

My local BMW dealer will clean them anytime i want with thier "special" cleaner. They will not give me this stuff, but have cleaned them 3 times now
