CLutch is definitely not $5000. We charge less than $2000 for just the clutch. The flywheel on the other hand is I believe $1800. Usually, you wouldnt need the flywheel. every 30K to 50K for a clutch is not bad at all. Lamborghinis and Ferraris go through clutches every 10K miles!!
Yes brakes are killers. THey aren't cheap. Control arms, etc are not cheap either. If the OEM suspension goes, upgrade to KWs.

The trans issue is the SMG pump that went out so often on the 06's. Mine went out at 21,000 miles and was replaced with a upgraded version. Check to see if it's been replaced...remember tho....they didn't ALL fail. So if it hasn't gone out by now...chances are slimmer that it ever will.

i have an 2006 M5 with 26K miles on it.. runs like a dream, not one issue with it.
