I just had exchanged my 650i Cabrio with an M6 for a test drive. Oh, man. How do I find the words to describe it?

Your 650i cabrio is slow due to its high weight (+210 Kg compared to the coup?) .
What transmission do you have ? Steptronic or manual/SMG ?

And why the cabrio ? Is it so warm in Romania ? I don't think so.. Wrong choice imho .

Seems a bit harsh, considering:
A) You don't know him
the 650i cabrio is a sweet car, regardless of where you live
C) What does telling him that he made a bad choice in buying a convertible have to to do with his original post? He was only test driving the M6 for fun.

Maybe he likes the convertible, regardless of what climate he lives in. I just think your last comment seems a bit unnecessary, but maybe I'm reading it wrong...

Probably it is slow compared with the M6, but by no means it is slow. I've a steptroic car, but it's listed in my signature, isn't it?

And if you say it's wrong choice, I can understand this, even if you don't know me.

However, you are making very odd comments about climate in Romania which is public record, and if you don't care about it, at least you may be considerate enough not to make inapropriate comments.

1. It may not be here as warm as in Italy, but I can use a cabrio from April to September with the top down.
2. While we have a lot of cold weather, summer is very hot.
3. Even if some may think weather here is not good for a soft top, why judge me in public? I don't get it.
4. Our climate is way more warmer in summer than in Germany for example. Does this means they are not buying cabrios? Let's not even talk about guys in Sweeden.
5. I cannot understand your comment in this topic context. Please enlight me.

I'd say lightning fast. I was very pleased with the SMG in both modes S and D and also driving very spirited or very calmly in slow going traffic. Amazing. I cannot wait for the M3 with the ZSG.

lucky you.. kids like me dont get to test drive these monsters here in the US. not unless you have a relationship with a local dealer.. which means you know somebody that knows somebody... I gues the good ole saying " it aint what you know is who you know" still stands till this day. well wish you luck in possibly upgrading sometime.

Although i agree with you in a way i disagree with the saying. But it is true that you must know somebody at the delership. Dont you worry, he probably knows somebody also. Especially here in Romania. You can't simply go to the dealership, being nobody, and say Hey i wana testdrive the M6. That would mean que to the dealership Here they don't even lend cars to the owners when their cars are in service. Testdriving an M (in particular) is by far a great achivement.

About Alex's comments welll they speak for themselfs. Word of advice. Ignore him.

PS: I'm glad you took the test drive. I remember also when i drove the M5. It was..................$*#@&@*$ awesome.
