Got a letter from BMW Sweden today.

They were talking about quality and safety etc. and then on the last row they said that I should contact my dealer to have the VANOS oil line replaced.

Already made the appointment with my dealer 3 weeks ago! It will be replaced next week.

Wow so long after all the earlier fuss. But I guess you had yours much before the so called defective ones. You have lots of kms on yours, but good to be sure.

Yes the recall is only for certain M5's depending on production date. It is a recall on the vanos oil line.

I had mine replaced 300 miles after I saw green oil pouring from under the front.
