So I went to a construction Christmas party tonight.. and drove the m5, which is amazing because its December 5th and snow hasnt flow yet and i can do so!!(salt never will touch my car).. get to the party, lock up the car (press the middle button on my keyfob) and go inside the party.

Hours later (maybe 4)

I walk out to my car with my gf, who is driving since she's had 2 glassses of wine, and i've had 20 drinks or so.... and ALL of my windows are down, including my sunroof which is half way back. Of course being tipsy as i am, i blame her for putting down the passenger window and leaving it down and not notice every window down right away.. ahahah..

So what the hell happened?!?!? anyone know?? I 100% had all windows up when i left the car, infact i havent openec my sunroof for at least 2 weeks...

I know on the key if you hold down the unlock button for a certain time period all the windows go down even the sunroof. this could have been it. maybe when u put the key in your pocket or something iot hit the button and the windows went down. this could be a possibility. or maybe you where drunk before u got to the party and just don't remember.

yep. hold the unlock button for a few seconds, windows go down. once the windows are down, if you keep holding it, sunroof goes all the way back. I would say it takes about 8 seconds to get all the windows down and the sunroof halfway back. you either did this while walking in or HOPEFULLY while walking out!

If this happened while walking in, It would have unlocked the doors first. I believe if a door isn't opened after unlocking, they are re-locked. I don't think the windows go back up/ Has anyone tested this?

If the doors were locked on return, just the windows down, the button got pushed on the way in.
