My Sirius subscription just ran out. Anybody know what kind of deals are available? When the XM subscription on my Acura ran out they wanted about $150 to renew but they had a special unadvertised deal for $89/year.

Don't look for any such deals now that the XM/Sirius merger has been announced. This is no more competition for satellite radio....if you want it, you'll be paying for it. A Christmas deal may be the only hope.

I just cancelled mine actually -- I'm not paying for censored radio. On top of that they removed a few stations I listened to. They claim the censorship is just temporary after the merger but who knows.

What censorship?

As far as what deals are out there... I asked them if I could get the 3 months free offer that they are promoting right now and even though that only applies to new radios, they credited my 1 year subscription in the amount of 3 months! I had to talk to a supervisor though. It never hurts to push the limits and see what you can get.

Post-merger censorship caused by the partnership between Sprint and SiriusXM. Now, they offer "family friendly" programing with the majority of their channels being censored. The few that remain uncensored can be found here: link. Sort of makes me wonder if the subscription is worth it anymore?

I disagree, Satellite radio is fantastic... there's so much to hear that I simply wish I could spend more time in the car listening.

I'm also not sure what it was like before the merger, but there is enough uncensored content to keep me entertained and thoroughly disgust my girlfriend! LOL.

Satellite radio rocks! (especially HairNation! )

You are able to login via computer and listen to SiriusXM as well, if you weren't aware.
