Ok, here's a short DIY about adding side skirt vinyl wraps.
Before installing, remember to clean the side skirts thoroughly.
1) You need 2 pieces of a vinyl wrap in size of 200cm x 15cm / 79" x 6"
2) Cut a gently sloping curve on both pieces. Make sure you cut them mirrored so you don't end up with two pieces suitable for only one side of the car.
3) Put a mask tape on the top edge of the side skirt to get a straight line to follow for wrap installing.
4) Installing the wrap, 1st part. Few tips:
- Install the wrap starting from the front end.
- Don't remove the cover paper at once, but along the install work as you proceed.
- Place the top edge on place along the mask tape and use a squeegee to push the lower parts on the skirt.
- Don't use any heat, because this will lead to a wavy top edge line as the vinyl stretches very easily.
- Even without the heat, the top edge may get some waves on it, but don't worry, you can hide this later with the vinyl stripe.
- Don't worry about the lower part of the wrap either at this point. It doesn't matter if some bubbles and folds occur in it. Just concentrate to get the top line edge installed as straight as possible.
- Important! When you are installing the second side and getting near the back end, take the measurements from the first side about the placement of the back end of the wrap. Even if the pieces are exactly as long and you place the front end exactly in the same spot on both sides, the back end will not align 100% in the same spot on the second side automatically (because the wrap always stretches a bit). So, at this point you still have an opportunity to slightly stretch or cut the back end to get it located exactly like it is on the other side.
5) Installing the wrap, 2nd part.
- Now, when the vinyl is hanging on the side skirt from it's top edge, use the squeegee to get the lower parts of the vinyl properly smooth.
- If there's big bubbles or folds, gently pull the lower edge of the vinyl wrap off and then reinstall using the squeegee.
- Use some heat if needed.
6) Installing the vinyl stripe.
- Remove the mask tape.
- Simply install the stripe over the top edge of the vinyl wrap.
- Put as long piece on place at once as possible. This will avoid the waves on it.
7) Installing the decal.
- Nothing special here, just use some time to get the decal aligned as you desire it to be.
Done!
I hope this helps at least a little .

First one I found on Ebay. I would be surprised if you couldn't find it in the US. It's a common mod for sportbikes so maybe look in those circles.

Snapped a cellphone photo yesterday while going home from work.
Then I caught Eric doing his things! No idea what he is up to!
But clearly he has a vision of somekind, again...
