Guys my 06 M5 is having some issues. It starts and runs good while its cold but only till it gets warm. When it is warm, if turned off it will not start back up. The service engine light is on and the car is in limp mode with RPM only going up to 4000 (or somewhere around there). I checked the codes and it is reading misfire on all 10 cylinders. No other codes, just misfires from cylinder 1 to 10. I reset the codes but they come right back. After it is warmed up sometimes it turns off and will not start back up for a few hours until the car is cold again. Any ideas?

Hmm, If i was you, i'd first disconnect the battery for a short time and then put it back on and see what happens, also look under the hood and check if the big air hoses on the 2 throttle bodies are tight and that the clamps are not lose, that can def cause misfire. Besides that it could be just bad gas or something with the fuel system.
GL, I wud def post this on m5 board as well.

Sounds like faulty coil pack.

well guys i took the car into BMW and $315 dollar inspection later they called and told me there is oil on the spark plugs. thy wanted me to authorize a $2000 tear down to see what what going on inside the engine. i told them no way and drove the car home. today i pulled all the spark plugs out and they were right. the spark plugs were drenched in oil on the business side and the threads too. i cleaned and reinstalled them and after running the car for a few minutes i took them out again to find them covered in oil. i also noticed that there is significant oil in the left side air filter housing coming from the throttle body all the way up to the filter housing. i am scared it could be the valve rings or even worse a cracked head. i will remove the valve covers tomorrow to see whats is going on inside and to check for any obvious damage.
