I don't mean to rain on your parade, but it would be quite a long shot to get that amount for a 2006. The depreciation on these cars is murder.
I got 2006 530xi's with 70,000+ kms going for $40,000. I'm going to post $35,000 and see what happens and the lowest I'll go is $30,000 and for the car that shouldn't be a problem. The city I'm from is pretty rich so it shouldn't be an issue. I had a few offers before wanting the car for $35,000 but I rejected those offers hoping for atleast $40,000 but now that I'm getting an awesome deal from my friend, I'll sell for less.

Talk to me about the Easy Care warranty. What does it cover? what are the terms? Hows your experience with them? Are they reliable and trustworthy? Do you have deductibles?

I'm always nervous about 3rd party, but my OEM warranty and maint runs out in a few months, and BMW wants 6350 for an additinal 3 yrs/100K miles.

Any input is greatly valued. Thanks.

I have the Total Care option from Easy Care and it covers pretty much everything including the clutch. I recall the one major thing it doesn't cover is any modifications to the iDrive/Nav/sound system.

I got the warranty when I had only 80 miles left to 50K miles on my OEM warranty. I paid about $3100 for an additional 3yrs/36K miles with a $500 deductable. I had some issues with a High Battery Drain warning and my dealer had to replace several things (CAS module, IBS...) and the claims process went smoothly. I think the key is that I bought the Easy Care warranty through my dealer so both companies already have a relationship which makes the claims process much smoother.

How about this 3rd party warranty: http://www.warrantydirect.ca/ or https://www.coverageone.ca/mic/uwc/j...s_ultimate.jsp
