Update: I got a few parts recently. Still trying to get her back to 100% aftert the vandals got the best of her.

I think I'll be the first E60 with this new hood* new driver side rear door * OEM iPod interface (steal of a deal, got it for only $100!!!!)* still hunting for lci tails* installing the HR springs with the door and new hood this wk or next wk* found a process for creating my own custom matte color for my vinyl wrap I'm about to do....should be crazy!

On a sidenote: I did the M5 charcoal filter delete a while back...amazing!

right now im trying to figure out how to install it lol.

i plan to weight it before i put it on....but its pretty damn light...my guess is like 40lbs...maybe less.

i will weigh both during the install process......

pricing: it was on ebay for 960 shipped (i haggled it down a bit tho)

Yea right! That hood is the same weight if not more than our factory hoods lol 40 lbs I hope that was a joke. Install takes 15 min with 2 people. Its bolts and installing the stock latch onto the new hood. Minor fitment adjustments are made afterwards.

ok, so i weighed the OEM all alumninum M5 hood and it was roughly 32lbs on a digital scale....the Seibon Carbon fiber hood weighed in at 22lbs on the digital scale....so obviously this mod is not for weight savings but purely aesthetics!

anyway pulling the hood off was really easy. i did that part by myself actually....here's a progress pic.
