are you driving around with half matte half paint LOL and also since you getting new wheels you should sell me your 166s I probably can't afford them but I'll be your butler for a year to pay them off.

i actually am rolling around with the car half done lol. u know me, i dont care! haha
funny thing is i have TWO sets of OEM 166s....one set im refinishing gloss black (still havent gotten around to it) and the other set i will be fixing the minor curb rash (professionally) and offering for sale in the coming weeks. i will need the cash for this move out to the city of Angels.

oh and btw....since i got an E9x style ///M Carbon Fiber hood i decided to order the OEM grills for the hood vents. in case you were unaware, the aftermarket CF hood comes with some cheesy wire mesh in the vents....it was plain aluminum right out the box. yuck!
so i painted the wire mesh gloss black (pictured alongside the new OEM ones) and it was a littlle better, but not good enough....
so i went to the dealership to take a closer look at an actual M3 and what those vents look like up close. turns out that you can actually pop those grill pieces out. so i jumped on realoem.com found the part number and ordered the full OEM assembly. a few days later, BOOM! here we are lol.
im only going to use the honeycomb grill inserts, not the plastic surrounds...that way i will still leave some of the CF exposed after the wrap is complete...but first im painting the honeycombs gloss black (they come flat black from BMW). here they are right out of the packaging....damn order cost me $80 total....but hey, in pursuit of perfection you gotta drop $80 on plastic pieces that only cost $0.13 to make right? lol![](https://5series.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

with one side done.....i kinda wish i would have done matte black (again) instead of the matte graphite metallic....but let me finish the whole car & get my wheels on before i make a final judgement call :/
