No probs, but the Nring is just not comperable to any, so be carefull. C U there.
First laps DTC on for sure...but i can't predict anything since i don't know the track. Never found a PC game with the track (Nordschleife). I currently play alot of Toca Race Driver 3 wich is absolutley astonishing at details and feel.

GT4 (Gran Turismo) has the Nordschleife track & it's fairly realistic although you don't get the rises, off-cambers & track substance, however the layout is amost bang on.

As said earlier in the thread, even the Ring Taxi keeps the car in MDM mode, so some element of traction control is maintained & they can flick the ar$e of an M5 out for fun. Also my cars P400 is halfway between regular P400 & P500 as I have the DMS mapping.

That said now my confidence is at a higher level as is my experience of the track, i do fully expect to try some full M-Mode laps when i return in a few weeks, however i doubt very much if i'll switch the traction control totally off, i'll probably do as the Ring Taxi does & adopt MDM mode.

A wise and safe decision.

A bit off topic:
But still Nurburgring related...where i can find a good and official list ordered somehow by lap times of the Nordschleife? I'd like to check BMW E60 M5 time and also the Z4 M coupe time...since i'm curious if Z4 is quicker on the ring also (since on TG's track it was)

Their is a very comprehensive list on the Web somewhere as i've seen it many times. Just try a search or Google for Nurburgring Lap Times. The M5 is defo listed as are almost every model of car & i'm sure the Z4 M Coupe is on their now.

Just bear in mind that most of the times are listed from different publications & the laps driven by different drivers as well as the list making no mention of traffic conditions or weather, so they should be taken with a small pinch of salt. Any time posted by Walter Rohl will be quick as he's The Ring God
