well well well, just got back from the ring.......
AMAZING
the drives, the rides and the ATMOSPHERE.....the people. lovely.
sadly the weather sucked, rained all the time so quiet a few wrecked babies. luckily no E60's

BTW: I must say Steve's 535d with all the chassis, susp, wheels, tires, brakes etc etc mods is awesome. What a ride on the ring. WOOOW. People, this is the ultimate and REAL tuning. Forget all the wings, bumpers, stickers and other kind of "tuning crap".

Here are some pics:

view from the hotel - The F1 GP Nurburgring track (the new one)

Well i'm glad you liked it. Love to get there once i have the time...

Did you recognize some E60 members on the pictures?

I thought the last one was hobi's, but i'm not sure of that

Nurburgring-19.jpg

And isn't this is SG535d with his lovely car or could it be IMU (think i recognize his license plate)??

Nurburgring-13.jpg
Nurburgring-37.jpg
Nurburgring-38.jpg

EDIT: sorry it can't be sg535d because he has no 166s style rims (as pictured on the last one).

BTW: if anyone from this forum was there too but didn't recognize his/her car in the pictures. I have still other pictures from E60's but didn't always update them on the forum otherwise it should become too large here

Yep, both are E60.net cars. That is indeed me in my M5 alonside the motorcycles with window down about to head out & the pic of the 545 with lush rims is also on here.

The whole 4 days were fantastic, i briefly met up with Steve in his 535d & it was indeed an amazing machine & good to meet a few e60.net regualars. The weather was a bit of a let down but i managed 24laps in total & of those about 6-8 were dry laps.

On the track i never used M-Mode & never put her up to full power, deciding that sticking with P400 & max TCS was the best course of action. She still loved hanging her ar$e out & we got a little too much out of shape the odd time but nothing that a few corners of inane laughing did not clear. As said, the M5 behaved exceptionally well & i'll be returing soon & be hopeful of some better weather so i can try a lap under full power. I did no official times laps but was consistently getting under 10mins BTG in the wet & dry with the drier laps being closer to 9.30 but no official recording & was never pushing on.

I did take some instruction with some bloke called Stefan & that really altered the way i drove the track & the basic driving techniques i was using so a very worthwhile trip.

Forgot to mention that i managed to get a Ring Taxi lap, although sadly not with Sabine but some other very short woman.

I actually think for Taxi laps the short woman is slightly quicker & it certainly looked that way from various viewing points, as Sabine just loves showboating & has the back end out on her M5 into virtually every corner, but the other woman drives the Taxi laps more technical, but i was just glad of the opportunity & it blew me away how she could handle the beast.

Was plenty of carnage this week on the track as the weather turned, was often seeing 2-4 crashes per lap although I don't think their were any major injuries.

On Friday a bright yellow Carrera GT turned up on UK plates & driven by a total c0ck also saw a yellow F40, silver Carrera GT, silver Gallardo a couple of Murcies & many other stunning machines, although by far the domination by M3's was amazing, so many CSL's & most being driven hard by compitent drivers.
