Be careful with this "after burner" option. I remember the first time I pressed it and floored it at a light and the car almost went sideways... haha It's a huge adrenaline rush though.

What button is that? Theres so many buttons and idrive settings, im going to the dealer tommorow and having a real sit down.

I cant get S6 to pop up when I turn DSC off... =/

It's the M button on the steering wheel with a circle around it. You go to I-Drive settings to program all the above different settings into that one button so when you press that button, all those options are selected instead of doing them manually one at a time.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhh this whole time I was adjusting things in the MDrive settings thingy I thought it was making realtime changes to the car not actually programming anything into the M button.

So the car is always in P400 untill you press the Mbutton with whatever you selected?

The "M" button on the steering wheel is merely your preferred driving functions all progammed into 1 button. All of which is progammable thru IDrive/MDrive.

Default start up progam is S3/P400. You can activate P500 without using the "M" button. Its the button to the upper left on the gear selector console named POWER. Led off is P400, led on is P500, P500S is only available by programing the M button thru IDrive.

FloridaBMW is right.

BTW, Xexyus, are you in SoCal? I forgot. I ask cause Snikt21 has brand new H&R springs for the M5 that he's selling.

Hey EuroCar how do you like the strut braces your running? I want to dial in my suspension a bit more and I'm thinking new sway bars. I was looking at the stock sway's and they are pretty small. I ran H-Sports on my previous Audi and loved them, any opinion on the subject?

Hey Ken,

I like my strut braces as I feel they improve chasis rigidity and further minimize body flexing through uneven roads. Although the car is stiffer that way, I didn't feel it impacted comfort that much.

As for the sway bars, I definitely recommend them. I had springs and the strut braces on first and I still felt the car was leaning somewhat through sharp bends and corners. That's when I installed the Dinan front roll control system and rear sway bar (essentially their Stage 2 suspension but without the springs). The front roll control system is essentially two metal tabs that are mounted on the factory front sway bar (by drilling new holes in the sway bar). This relocates the mounting points to stiffen up the front.

Another option is getting RDsport front and rear sway bars but they're $800 a set compared to the Dinan pieces which are about $340.

Let me know if you need a source to order these parts.

Tony

Thanks Tony once again, gonna go with the Dinan front kit and rear sway. Was gonna chk with the dealership or go directly thru the Dinan site, who do u recommend otherwise? The suspension setup needs a bit more even with the H&R spring upgrade, the sway bar's should do the trick imo.

Yeah, the Dinan bits will definitely help flatten out the car's handling. Call Eric Bateman at Dinan at 408-779-8584 x 105.
