To all the M5 owners that upgraded your suspension:

1. If you put in new coilovers (say KW v3s) does that render your EDC inactive?
2. Did you get an error in iDrive regarding an EDC malfunction?
3. How does EDC work with OEM suspension, I know there are 3 settings, but what really happens "mechanically" on the different settings in regard to the dampers?

Thanks in advance!

I have KWv3 and yes on (1). You lose ability to adjust the suspension electronically, but setting EDC to sport mode, I think it still effect the steering(stiffer). No error on idrive since KWv3 came with module which prevent error code. I think EDC effect both suspension and steering column. Sport mode(2 LEDs) will definitely make suspension/steering stiffer.
