My Ride: 2006 E60 M5
all option (except soft close doors)
So I went to my friend's dealership, Forman Motorsport, in Phoenix yesterday (http://formanmotorsport.com/). He has a 2006 M5 with a custom exhaust that he wanted switched out for stock system. Since we had some time on our hands we drove both M5s to a local shop he uses. About an hour and a half later and $285 I now have this system installed on my M5.
Sorry about the vid, but it was taken from an old camera in mpeg1 format and I don't know to edit all the dead time out.
The closest I can get to describing this system (sections 1, 2, and 3 with secondary cats and resonator removed) in terms of sound is a F430 with open valves all the time. There is drone at lower rpm and screaming above 4000 rpm.
The car is getting dyno'd on Tuesday after an RPI pulley is installed. I really don't think the exhaust added much of anything except noise.
