for daily photos 24-70 f2.8L is the best choice..
if u want wide angle shots 16-35 f2.8L.. for landscaping maybe..

i am not sure how much in US, but in sydney 24-70mm cost like $1400AUD. in US should be more cheaper, since everything in US is much cheaper than in AUS
