So im looking to buy a used M5 and I was wondering what are the differences between 06-07 m5s? Im debating whether to buy a modded 06 m5 or a slightly less modded 07 m5 with roughly the same number of miles but cost about the same (46kish). Id like to know what they did differently in the 07 model that the 06 doesnt have.

There is no difference in design, cabin layout, or anything else, but the '06 models had some issues with VANOS and other small stuff. I would go with the '07

So there is no exterior or interior differences at all? What about with the 08 models? When did they change to lc1

Yea the '08's and up are the LCI's they have a more refined interior/exterior. If you can afford it, go 2008
