My Ride: E60 M5 Black/Black/Silver trim. Idrive, navigation, Active Seats, HUD, SMG, that plastic Key... and every option except the Active Cruise Control. I asked for everything and dealer forgot Active Cruise.....
Everytime I hit the Power button, my M5 eats up .1liter of oil every 10 seconds or so. Does everyone experience this problem? Does it ever go away? Why the hell did BMW make a power button if it is going to eat up all the oil to protect the engine?

I would get the car checked by the dealer ASAP. You got a problem.

What everyone else said. Get thee car to the dealer! That's a rediculous amount of oil drop if you're really experiencing drops like that. I run in M mode at least 75% of the time and drop about 0.5L every 1000 miles. Fortunately my dealer tops it off for free.

So did you get it checked out at your dealer yet? My car barely sucked down 0.2L during 200 miles of driving on a racetrack this last weekend, but dropped another 0.2L in just 200 miles of around-town driving immediately afterwards. The stupid electronic dip stick is strange that way.
Your oil consumption sounds like something is wrong.
Be aware that you can decrease oil consumption (once your current issue is taken care of) but not mashing down the throttle at low rpms in high gears. Seems to be the #1 cause of high oil consumption among those who have experimented more with this. Excess throttle at low rpms/high gears = oil burning/blowing out the pipe.
