I feel this way about warranties:
I bought the extended warranties for $90 each on 2 TV's and my PS3 - one TV has been replaced (saving me $2400), PS3 been replaced twice (saving me $500 each time), and the other TV just got dropped off at BestBuy for service 20 mins ago (saving me $400). Do the math, I paid $270 in warranties and saved $3800 in replacement costs.
It's not that something WILL go wrong, but when was the last time it DID go wrong at the right time?

Hey if you don't get a big repair then you sure do come out ahead without an extended warranty. But I am not a risk taker.

As I stated that is soley my opinion , I am not forcing it on anyone and I do understand why some people prefer to purchase them. No need for hostility, I love e60's with or without warranties :-p

If someone is selling you an M5 for 30k with 40k on the click an a replaced SMG you have no choice but to buy it. You're 3-6k ahead of the wholesale auction price for a clean car. And you're so picky that you might even be 6+ on a pristine car. I'll buy that car cash in any color with a clean title and carfax. It's someone giving you 5k for free. If you're gonna keep the car get the warranty and extended maintenance an you're still way below retail on the car. To be honest this doesn't seem like it takes any thought at all. You should have the car registered already for 30k.

Get the M5. The 550 is too slow.

i do not believe this price unless something is wrong. Check the service history. wholesale auction in PA manheim has these at 36k in poor condition meaning bad tires, some light body work and probably suspect interior (smoke etc.)

M body pieces and the SMG is not like the M5 one I think it's more like the old M3 one.

I won't know for sure until i get home to look at it but all the records check out and the guy seems genuine. Also there is one selling on here for 34k that is mint looking as well with only a few more miles. I think it's a really bad time to sell expensive cars, or the way i see it a really good time to buy one and Cash talks so 2 pluses!
