Yeah...me too. I had my car in for service last week and they had a black one marked up $10K so asking price was $106K!!!! It kinda blind sided me cause I was tinkering with trading up since the one I've mocked up on BMW USA website only comes out to $86K. Wife gave the OK but that was planning on aprox. $92K out the door. I asked the sales guy on the floor and he said they haven't had one sell at sticker yet and can't keep them on the floor.

Hmm, does it only happen to m5, or also to other models? I've never seen such mark-up here in Seattle BMW

BMW Seattle had a markup on both an M5 and M6 in their showroom a few months back.

These cars are falling, don't make a large $$ mistake. Smarter move is to buy a very low mile 06 and save a bunch more. New 06's that still remain should be well under MSRP, although many dealers are still fishing. I have bought and sold 2, and feel like it won't be too long before I can buy a nice, single digit mile 06 with a 6 as the first number (wholesale). Hope this helps.

There are 3 M5's at my local dealership in the showroom and one demo - nothing on the sticker about markups. Not 100% sure how many are '06 vs. '07

Again, Supply and Demand at work...

Buy a used one with a few Kmiles. Save bunch of money! Or just wait until 2008 or so until all issues sorted out and supply builds up.

Valencia BMW in California currently has an Interlagos Blue M5 with black interior carrying a MSRP of $91,000+. I didn't see what the options were in this particular vehicle. I do, however, remember that it is an SMG tranny without the HUD.

And now for the deal breaker....next to the window sticker is a smaller sticker from the dealer indicating "Dealer mark-up = $20,000". I should have taken a picture of this with my cellphone's cam but was too disgusted at the time and walked away. I'm sorry but that is bullshit.

there's a 2006 down at south bay bmw that they've had on the lot for 230 days. the sticker is 91, they say they will take 83.

I was at Savage in Ontario. The deal breaker for me right now is the poor  gas mileage i've read about on another thread hear. I drive too many miles per week and need at least 300 miles per tank.
