Just heard this from a friend that was there. There were 15 wrecks as a result of the spilled oil. The driver (not Sabine) stayed on the track until the halfway exit, thus making a huge mess.

I believe that's a special option exclusive to the M5 ... the "oil slick" option a la James Bond.

Actually, I think the M3 had the "smokescreen" as the standard feature ... a/k/a the "blown rotors" ...

BMW,

Please watch your quality for you'll be just repeating Jaguar/Cadillac history.

I'm trying to get my brother into a 118i. I think it's a nice car.

The 1 series is real nice, espacially for driving in the EU citys.

The only thing "not so nice" is the rear seats. Pretty tough to enter and exit, very uncomfortable for taller persons. But still waaaaaaay better than a Golf.

BMW's response to my530i:

my530i,
We are/will not be in the low level of Caddy/Jag (aka ford) but nor are/will we ever be Lexus.

So you just keep on doing what you do... and we'll keep on doing what we do. Capische'??!!
