I have seen 4 M5s in scotland in the last few months 2 black 2 silver. It seems they are more popular than the old M5. Just recently saw a brand new black one, looked and sounded awsome, was crusing through Dollar.

Wondered why the popularity.

Cuz the E39 brought the M5 sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fame everyone now knows what an M5 is where as before no one knew what it was... E39 gave the name a lot of fame!

Plus they're making a heck of a lot mroe E60 M5s than they are E39 M5s.

Not the part of the UK that I drove.

Worst roads ever.

Worse than here in Pennsylvania with freezing cold winters, blistering hot summers and truck truck truck traffic on the major east/west and north/south arteries running through the region.

You need to drive in the northern regions of Scotland. Unbelievable roads - great visibility, beautiful scenery. Very little traffic on the inland roads.
