Hi Wart, If you don't mind, what was your really good deal for a 2005 545 (percent over invoice figure would be great!)

Thanks!

Hi Sacguy. I'd rather keep that info "on the down-low" if you know what I mean. e-mail if you really need to know.

B.T.W. no-one has offered financial advice... Anyone know which would be the best way to make the purchase? If I write finance, I'll do it off my equity line so I can write the interest off too. Not sure if I get the most benefit that way or with a lease.

Thanks, Wart....I have dealt with "down-low" in other areas of life , so gotcha!!. I am not registered, so can not email. I have seen several figures of $2k over invoice on this forum for California, so when I am ready will use that to negotiate deal....does that sound fairly on target???

Thanks,
SacGuy

I'm in LoCal area and couldn't get any local to go below @ $2,800 over invoice. I found an out of area dealer willing to go to $1K over invoice BUT it's a long drive. Only AFTER that was I able to get the local boys to go to $2K over. I gave them the opportunity to convince me it was worth the extra $$ to buy from the locals and they couldn't. They didn't even mention that I cannot get a loaner from them if I buy from somewhere else but I wonder if that is true. Right now I'm looking at making the drive to save the $$$... If I stick with the 545i and pass on the M5. I really don't think I can justify the extra $35K. I was hoping the M would be in the $80K range. Too bad, so sad... for me.

Where is LoCal area?? Just curious! Is dealer you are going to out of state?
Sacramento area dealers are not always competitive either, may end up going to Bay Area - Pleasanton (east bay).

If it's hp you want right now and you don't need the xtra room, get a C6 Corvette...400hp stock, or pickup one of the last Z06's for less than $50kUS. Put some mods and you can get to 450hp easy.

Just my .02.

If you're not going to keep the car past warranty, you should probably lease it.
