Ummm no! In fact if it would have been a 545i vs M5 that would have been the perfect thread. He despises the 6 cyl engines just as much as the V10 so he could never have argumented i favor of the 535i cuz that would also mean argumenting against 545i which as we all know is the best car in the world and for sure the best BMW

AND PINGU: NO there is not substitute for an M. Never, no Alpina, no AMG no nothing. The M cars are a special breed of cars, unmistakable, uncensored and hard.

I agree, even though I love my 535tt, but for sure it is not a direct replacement for a V10 M5. 535tt does have some potentials, but stock to stock, it is not in the same class with the m5 at all! However, it does give me a decent mpg for a high performance car which I could appreciate now since the gas price is so high, but I'm sure mpg is not a major concern for the m5 owners!!
