I forgot about S6!! I did have some laps with DSC off, (the rest in MDM mode) but always S5 - I just switched off using the DSC button and forgot to go to S6! Next time, for sure...

After starting the download/install procedure there is a list of 5 or so programs that it wants to install, I unchecked all of them except for the Codec itself. That was all that was needed.

Upon installing, there were disclaimers saying the Divx player and other components would not work with Windows Vista, but nothing about the codec itself. So I went ahead and installed that only.
