Hey guys. When I was car shopping I came across this M5, very nice in person. I wasn't shopping for an M5 though, out of my price range. I picked up an '06 530i (not from same dealer) but was surprised a clean M5 could be had for under $40k.

You posted that dealer's ad in December - I see the M5 is still "for sale" @ $36,988

Even higher mileage '06 M5 CPOs at bmwusa.com are pricer than that!
Probably a great deal is someone wants to get into an 'older' M5! I'd bet they would be even more flexible on price if you showed up with cash!

^ That's a terrible idea. Both suck on gas and the GL even though it's MB's nicest truck IMHO can't compare to the curb appeal or enjoyment of the M5.

My friend was selling his 06 m5 with 70k miles for $29k. I was going to buy it until I went to the insurance and told me it was going to be almost $800 a month because Im 19... !sucks!! I better stay with my 530i for now...lmao

You need to consider more than just insurance cost to purchase an M5 . Eg. Mainteance cost or buying extended warranty and also you need to visit gas station very often .
