What color do you like better? I hear the SMG in M5 is phenominal and made specifically for it. Eventhough I like them, I don't believe the sticks sell as well here in the States. Guess you need to drive both and give your opinion.

My Ride: E60 M5 Silverstone/black/alum
mods: 20" Vellano wheels, H&R spring, SS x-pipe + SS Race exhaust, hardwired V1
E60 530i - sport package, bluetooth
mods: M-tech full kit, OEM M5 side mirrors, Hella smoked tail light, Formula One Classic tint 50% all around

I'd say, compare the features on both car. They don't mention bluetooth on the silver grey.
SMG is very fun to drive. 2007 SMG should have nothing to worry about.
My vote goes to SMG, and just because I love the color...![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)
End of the day, test drive both cars, and you'll know which one you want. Good luck!

Its the 2000's get a clutch-less car.
If you got a 6 six speed manual there would be only a 15-18% power loss to wheels which would be great
but then if you wanna shit quicker you'll want a short throw shifter, then who knows how long a clutch will last on a V10 did BMW use a twin disc high friction or some base single disc friction clutch plate? it does matter, and it is not covered under warranty or maintenance.
Over the longhaul say 3 years you will have more fun with SMG

The Blue one is an LCI , ( those ugly bumper reflectors) so it has all the nice little updates..............I'm wondering about resale with a stick vs SMG ???

I like Interlagos Blue and the LCI make over but the Silver one has more options. You'll love the multi-funtion and perforated seats. Those are the ones that will hug you on turns. I also like SMG. My vote is for the silver one.

Thanks for all your opinions. This is the only place I would ask.
So far it is looking like I will scrap the mods ont he 528, and maybe go for the 2007 SMG M5 (Silver) Love that color too. Classy and mean at the same time.
I am just worried that when I bring it back to the states I won't be able to have fun anymore. To live in Germany for 5 years with the autobahn, then to lose it will boggle my mid. I'll become the most impatient person on the road. (sigh)

With all the discounts you're saving on the M5, you can put it into a fund for speeding tickets when you get back to the states.

Hey at least you had experienced "The Autobahn" I would love to take my car there without having to worry about highway patrols behind my back all the time back in the states.
