According to insider sources (i could tell you but i'd have to kill you), Audi are not intending to produce an RS6 in the current form. They're happy with the RS4 in its 3 variants & the S6 on its platform. Bear in mind, Audi have never fully produced 2 RS models at the same time. Was an overlap of a few months on the B5 RS4 & RS6, but with the current RS4 only being a few months old, it's believed Audi are NOT releasing an RS6.

I dont think we will see any gains on m5 engine! I mean the car was out only for 2 years why would they bump the HP?

Umm... BMW does it quite often. Take for example the 4.4 V8 to 4.8 V8. 4.4 V8 first available on the e60 in 2004 and then 4.8 V8 in 2006 = Two years.

The why? Competition.

No bumps in power during one lifecycle of any recent M models though.
