Hi Guys,

Ive noticed in the morning as I start out for work that the brightness on the "Head up Display" seems quite dull, this only happens maybe every three to four days, not everyday.

Firstly I switch the display on/off by the switch = no difference
Secondly I try pressing "M Button" to display = no difference
Thirdly pressing cruise control display = no difference

All of a sudden the "head up display" becomes brighter after I have driven about 5 to 6 miles, anyone any idea why this should happen, my M5 is only two years old and done 15k, I dont want to phone warranty up if it is nothing to worry about.

The Heads Up does dim if it's in a dark environment. Could it be that the sun isn't shining as brightly during this dimness? Only a suggestion

Dont really know, when I leave work of an evening it is ALWAYS ok, ie the correct brightness, only seems to happen in the morning, but as Ive said not every day, you would think that on early mornings when things are a little darker then it would be brighter...............god I must be sad beemer driver if thats all Ive to moan about an M.

Maybe it has something to do with the temperature inside and outside of the car? When it's cold outside you might have this "fogginess" (sorry, don't know how you call it) on your front window when you start the car and it clears up when the a/c has blown it away. Just a thought...

i think you're trying to say "mist" ..
it's been fdine in terms of temp for me .. but still i notice it. only on occassion though. it's a mystery.

as for bhp .. they say will be adding between 25 and 30. but will have to wait and see what the dyno reads. i will be posting them as soon as i get the chance, so keep an eye out.
