Hi guys ..
Ok, I don't own my E60 M5 anymore, but I still lust after it immenesly. So when I learned that Forza Motorsport 3 had one in the car list, I had to pre-order it. It launched (in the UK) today but I got my copy early due to pre-order. Had a quick play last night.
Have to say, excellent game.. well worth your bucks (or pounds, or whatever
).
I went to quickplay first and selected a 2009 Interlagos Blue E60 M5. FM3 now has cockpit view, and they've pulled it off very well. Took the M around The Ring for a couple of laps. They got the look, and the engine & exhaust note pretty much perfect as far as I can tell. Really really enjoyed it. Now we can drive our M5's around the famous tracks of the world without worrying about crashing it .
ok .. it's NOT the same .. but for those cold winter evenings, it'll make do

oh, to add .. in career mode you can fully customize your car .. I can't wait until I get to that level (you have to start off with a low budget small hatch).
they also have the E63 M3, the new E92 M3, the E46 M3 GTR .. plus a few more.

Thats sick.. i wanna get this just to hear the tone and sound of the car from outside.
I've never heard my car from outside the cockpit, im always driving and theres no way anyone else is going to!!!! not too many e60m5's in my area lol

Gran Turismo had the M5 in their last game and will have ferraris for the 1st time in the GT 5...
What i hate about the car lines sometimes is that they will have an M5 but no E63 or RS6 etc.
an M3 but no RS4
They'll have a classic Benz 190-16 DTM car but no E30 M3 or classic audi DTM
But they will have 100 versions of a skyline or Mistu Evolution...WTF !

That was the first car I purchased in career mode. Already modded it to a twin turbo setup putting out 929hp!! Not even done with the power upgrades. Of course I threw on some 21's all blacked out. Got the Asantis first, but found you can't paint chrome wheels. So went with some O.Z. wheels and blacked them out. The game doesn't let you paint over chrome. :thumbsdown:
Also if you are thinking of getting the M5, don't. Once you hit a certain XP points, they give it to you.
Now I got 2 in my garage. Wasted 80,000 for the M and 929hp for nothing.

ha .. yeah i did the same.. raced from the start with a Fiesta until I had enough to spend 80k on the M5 .. raced with that for a while and tuned that puppy .. then they gave me one !!! typical. oh well.
i bgt the E92 M3 also but haven't played with it yet. just can't get out of the M5 .. I haven't taken it to the extremes of 1k bhp like you though .. hovering around the 700bhp, NA. absolutely love it.
you're right about the line up .. there's no E63 OR RS6 (well, they have the old V8 RS6).

The car sounds sooo realistic in the game. I loveee the game its awesome. I too spent the 80K on the car, only to realize soon after that BMW gives you one once you reach a certain driver level

your exhaust is a little crooked
...as soon as i read this thread and about the m5 i went to go get it halloween night because i was babysitting lol
