surely there is a perfectly adequate explanation as to why you would buy a 104000euro car and not get a 2000euro pro nav ....

post your pics on m5board.com ... im not sure they`ve ever seen a vanilla m5 over there
You are such a fuxxing idiot!!

You must be a jealous bastard that can't handle people having a great car, and all you can do is to just sit on your ass all day playing with diecast models.

For all those that ask the question why no Nav on the M5, the answer is simple there's no need for one here in HK.

Is not even an option that's offer to us in any model range even for the 7 series, Hong Kong is not a big place so there's no need for a Nav. I have never got lost here in HK and I have only been driving here for around 3 years.

As for the HUD, it's not standard in HK. I don't even think they have an option for it.

Please go to www.bmwhk.com to check the spec of the car before making any misinform statement. The site is in english so I am pretty sure you guys will have no problem reading it, if you spent the time.

And yes owning a M5 cost a fortune and it doesn't even have Nav or HUD.

I was going to take more pics of the engine bay etc to show how genuine it is, but now I've given up.

All M5s come with prof Nav and hud too so since he doesnt have it... it must be a fake.

J/K J/K Williams_F1... giving you a hard time from the other thread where you got called a fake.

VERY NICE!!! I love it. Which shop is doing the angel eyes for you? Or is that the dealer?
Eric man you are not worthy of the specialist title you have. You have 8000 post and you still knows nothing j/k ok.

If you don't know it, you can ask us and we will be happy to tell you that there's no NAV or HUD on the M5 in HK. Go amaze people in the US now

Hey WilliamsF1 you might want to consider buying your M5 over there at 104,000 euro is a bargain compare with 151,646 euro in HK given the exchange rate of 1 EUR = 9.75955 HKD.

You can buy the M5 and have some leftover for a MV Agusta F4 1000 S

no nav in hong kong is not bmw's fault, i remember reading something about the geography is not suited for GPS road navigation, therefore there exist no mapping data available.
might also be true for singapore as well, can someone confirm if navGPS is available in singapore?

comparatively us in north america especially canadians get the car at half price compared to singaporeans. perhaps we all should get one or two for the hack of it.

on another note i agree the 'normal' idrive screen looks substandard to the pro nav wide screen...well.....

Actually they do have the map for the Canton Province (including HK) you can say is a geographic problem that cause GPS to have problems as buildings are too tall and sometimes we are in tunnel so lots of interference, hence GPS doesn't really work well.

Plus we don't need it is one of the factor. I do agree the small screen is substandard, I was wondering how the system reacts if the larger screen was install

Quick Reply: Finally took some pics of my M5
