Hi to all E60/M5 fans.
I am looking around to find a good deal used M5 for my friend, and in such reasearch I came across deals like this:

As the car is in Chicago, I would have few questions for your advice guys!
1) Is it worth to export car "back" from US to EU?
2) How costly and how difficult is that in terms of transportation and paperwork (destination is Germany - Trier / Bitburg area)
3) Anyone in Germany knows what kind of taxes (zoll) will aplly to such import?
4) Will I have to modify anything in the car to get the German TUV?
5) Anyone here went through such procedure and can share his / her experience (good or bad?)
Perhaps somebody knows any companies which deal with such cases on door-to-door basis? (this would be REALY helpful!)
6) Is here anyone from Chicago who could check out that car?
7) Last but not least: is 34K USD a possible price for M5??? (I am looking at least at twice as much in EU!), should I suspect anything wrong with the car in such case? What do you think are real "street-prices" for used M5 E60?

That auction looks like a scam to me! :thumbsdown: i have been looking @ M5's for the last couple of months now and i would say that a price of 34K is very unreal unless there would be something very very wrong with the car. you should be looking at more or less $65.000 / $70.000 and up for a used M5.

This add in fact was gone (deleted?) soon after I saw it on eBay.
But I would swear it looked 100% serious and reasonable... Just this price... 33,900 USD...
and the M5 had been fully loaded and had a new set of 20inch nice wheels...
I should have seen it was a scum....

PS. A friend of mine just sent me a link to one M5 he found in Germany, it is also quite nice and priced well, although a bit damaged in front (however all airbags in place), see if you like it and give me feedback what do you think on the damages, please:
