I like it, but how do you maintain that finish? Do you wash and wax it as before? What about fingerprints from passersby? Remember the DeLorean? People kept touching the aluminium surface leaving prints.

I dont have to wax it anymore. Washing it is easy, just add water and dry

The Maya's were 22". These are 21"
No wonder they filled up the wheel wells so nicely. They make the 21's look small by comparison.

Well, I'm going to go against the grain here, and say that if the owner likes it, that's all that matters. I would never do that to my car and I don't particularily like the look, but that is not relevant. It's his car and he likes it. It is different and it would take guts to do that, so congrats on that part. Enjoy.

Were you inspired by that other matte black M5 in Arizona I believe (I can't seem to find that thread)?
I've had a Rudy-esque moment: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?s=&sho...st&p=423967

I didn't like the blue lips. I say black out everything else - tint the lights, tails, turnsignals, and emblems (But keep the calipers and wheel lettering). You've went this far, might as well.

Do any of you who see a matte black car get the heeby-geebies like when you see a chalk board and someone runs their nails across it, or is just me?!?

Hmm....I think it is very unique but I guess I wouldn't do it to my car either. I just love the look of my car when it's freshly washed.

On the other hand, I think it might be cool if you mixed and match some matte and some gloss painted panels. Hmmm

I just saw pics of the one in AZ. Its sick, but the exhaust looks like it came off a civic and the side skirts look like a ground effects kit from a mini truck in the 80's

I love blk cars too when they are clean. But Audrey(AMGGIRL) is already saying im styling stealing. I would never hear the end of it, if it was shiny blk. Different is good

Yeah, the two exhausts look like coffee cans don't they? They are HKS Carbon-Ti mufflers and I think the skirts are Rieger.

Eko is flexing his Photoshop skills.

I don't think going with a JDM look is necessarily bad. While I would agree that the HKS exhaust looks out of place on that M5, what do you think of this E92? I give props for the originality.
